Sudoku Portable is the entertaining and addictive Sudoku puzzle game packaged as a portable app, so you can play on the go. You can place it on your USB flash drive, iPod, portable hard drive or a CD and use it on any computer, without leaving any personal information behind.
Features
Sudoku Portable is a an addictive puzzle game originally created in France over 100 years ago. It features a 9x9 grid containing 9 3x3 grids. Within this you arrange the numbers 1 through 9. But, each number can only appear once in each of the 9 3x3 grids. And it can only appear once in each row and on each column. It's a simple concept, but it can get addictive quickly. This version features:
- Four difficulty levels
Easy: A great way to get your sudoku feet wet
Medium: More difficult sudokus
Hard: Harder sudokus, some of which will have more than one solution
Impossible: Sudokus with so few numbers, you'll have to guess - Entry of possible solutions for empty boxes (hold down shift and a number from the standard number row, not the numeric keypad)
- Automatic saving of your game on exit
- "Check Game" feature to check your current work
- "Solve Game" feature so you can see the solution to the current puzzle
- Resizable interface, so you can make the numbers as large as you'd like

To install Sudoku Portable, just download the portable package at the top of the Sudoku Portable page and then double-click it. Select the location you wish to install to and click OK. A SudokuPortable directory will be created there and all the necessary files installed. That's all there is to it.
#Using Sudoku Portable
To start up Sudoku Portable, just double-click SudokuPortable.exe file where you installed Portable Sudoku on your portable drive. Then, use it just like you would a local copy of Sudoku. There are a couple of things to keep in mind:
Stay Safe - When using portable apps, it's always a good idea to practice Safe Portable App-ing.
Removing Your Drive - When you're done, exit Sudoku and then wait for the activity light on your removable drive to stop flashing. Then select the 'Safely remove [device]' option from the icon in the system tray. If you remove the drive while it is writing, you may lose data.
#Running from a CD (Sudoku Portable Live)
Support for running from a CD is built into Sudoku Portable. Just extract it to a local drive and run it at least once to generate a set of default settings. Next, make any configuration changes you'd like. Finally, burn the whole SudokuPortable directory to CD being sure not to change the locations of any files.
